About Me

Hello, I'm Sarah Lloyd, an HCPC-registered Dramatherapist and EMDR Practitioner, with extensive experience supporting children, young people and adults through life's challenges.

Over the years I have worked within the NHS, schools, charities and private practice, supporting people experiencing trauma, anxiety, bereavement, emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, neurodiversity, and significant life changes.

I believe that each of us is part of a much larger tapestry. Our lives are woven from experiences, relationships, joys and losses, each thread shaping who we are. Sometimes those threads become tangled, frayed or feel too heavy to carry alone. At other times, we lose sight of the strength and beauty that still exists within our own story.

Therapy offers a calm, safe and compassionate space to pause, reflect and make sense of those experiences. Together, we can gently explore what has brought you here, process difficult emotions, understand patterns and behaviours that may no longer serve you, and begin to weave new threads of hope, resilience and possibility.

My approach is warm, collaborative and non-judgemental. I understand that taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to create an environment where you feel accepted, understood and supported from the very beginning. Every therapeutic journey is unique, and I tailor my approach to your individual needs, drawing on evidence-based therapies including Dramatherapy, EMDR, DBT and other integrative approaches.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child or your family, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where healing feels possible and where you leave with a stronger sense of yourself and the confidence to continue writing your own story.

It would be a privilege to walk alongside you on that journey.
